Programs Director, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation

Serves as the Programs Director for FMWR at a large Army garrison, with responsibility for planning, directing, and overseeing a wide range of FMWR programs and activities. The Recreation Division includes Sports and Fitness, Parks and Picnic Areas, Outdoor Recreation, Libraries, Arts and Crafts, Community Activity Centers, Entertainment, Automotive, and Leisure Travel. The Child and Youth Division also includes Youth Sports and Fitness and youth programs.

The position develops organizational goals and policies, manages resources and budgets, oversees major projects, evaluates program performance, advises the Garrison Commander, and supervises subordinate managers and employees. It also oversees financial management, marketing, construction projects, property management, contracting, and other FMWR operations.
