Duties

  • Manages the Pentagon Athletic Center (PAC) health and fitness programs that includes a wide range of activities such as games, tournaments, and special/social event for a diverse patronage.
  • Plans, schedules, organizes, implements, conducts and evaluates PAC programs. Maintains work requests, fixed asset reports, and inventory control on all property pertinent to operation of the facility.
  • In coordination with management, plans and executes marketing/publicity strategies to promote available recreational activities.
  • Prepares and monitors budget for the PAC fitness program. Ensures expenditures comply with regulations and are executed within a set budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Para 2-16.k to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

  • Directly related work experience that includes any of the following:
  • Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating a recreational program.
  • Demonstrated work experience must have been at a level that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for successful performance.

Experience must be reflected on resume to receive credit.

  • This job is open to candidates who live local. Local is considered within a 50-mile commuting radius of Arlington, Virginia.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
