About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Scott Community Center.
This is a regular, full-time position (35-40 hours per week)
Assists in the planning, organizing, development, coordinating and administration of a comprehensive Community Center activities and programs to include core program areas and activities IAW annual program requirements for DoD military, civilians and dependents populations. Assist with all base wide special events. Plans and coordinates the details for recurring activities/events as to make maximum use of available resources. Ensures the equipment stock supports the interests and needs of the population served. Assists in the upkeep and preparation of Community Center facility.

Conditions of employment
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to random drug testing.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive. If selected for this position, incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their Official Driving Record.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of the basic principles, procedures, and practices of operating a comprehensive community recreation program required. Must have knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures relating to various recreation activities. Must have skills in preparing forms, schedules, and reports related to the obligation and expenditure of funds. Must have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Knowledge of office automation software (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) is required.
